This is a scholarship available to anyone interested in getting a job in the beauty industry. The Alice Barton Scholarship can be used in any beauty college in the United States. They are given out two times each year, in January and July to applicants who show a dedication to the field.
Beauty Schools Directory $2,500 Cosmetology Scholarships for Beauty College
Future students of many of the beauty disciplines are eligible to apply for these $2,500 grants. This scholarship is awarded 4 times per year and can be used at most beauty schools nationwide. The recipient of this scholarship is selected from a pool of applicants. These applicants must meet eligibility criteria, and submit their applications before the deadline each quarter.
The Joe FrancisHaircareScholarship
This foundation was started over 20 years ago by the wife of hair care professional, Joe Francis. Their goal is to help qualified students get the financial assistance they need to build successful careers in the field of beauty. Applications are accepted each year between January 1st and June 1st.
Sport Clips ACE Scholarship
Up to fifteen cosmetology students who are enrolled at an American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) will be awarded this scholarship. Each will get a $1,000 scholarship from Sport Clips and American Crew. The application needs to be turned in by July of each year.
OPI&AACSACE Scholarship
OPI’s annual scholarship program picks nine students who are attending AACS affiliated schools. The recipients will each be awarded a five hundred dollar scholarship from OPI. Winners will be selected based on an essay they’ve written and one beauty industry-based recommendation.
The scholarships mentioned here are just the tip of the iceberg. The more time you dedicate to locating the ones you qualify for, the better. Keep in mind that this is something that you generally won’t be able to accomplish in one or two hours. It’s best to start the search as soon as you know you’re going to register for classes.
