Avenue Five Institute’s esthetics program is available at our South Austin campus, making professional skincare training accessible for students in South Austin, San Marcos, Dripping Springs, Buda, Kyle, and surrounding areas. The 750-hour hybrid program combines on-campus instruction with online distance learning, allowing students to complete their training in as little as 7 months.
Students at the South Austin campus receive the same curriculum, hands-on training, and career preparation as our North Austin location. While our program prepares graduates for Texas licensure and diverse careers in medical spas and skincare clinics, students also have the opportunity to sit for the prestigious CIDESCO exam to gain international recognition.
The esthetics program at Avenue Five Institute covers the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills needed to succeed in the skincare industry. Areas of study include skin analysis and facial treatments, hair removal and waxing services, makeup fundamentals, chemical peels and microdermabrasion, sanitation and infection control, client care and consultation, and Texas laws and licensing exam preparation.
Students work with real clients in a supervised student spa environment, building both technical skills and confidence before entering the workforce.

Three flexible schedules are available at the South Austin campus. Students attend on-campus classes for 4 hours a day, Monday through Friday, plus complete 10 hours of online distance learning each week. Morning classes run 8:30am to 12:30pm, afternoon classes run 1:00pm to 5:00pm, and evening classes run 5:30pm to 9:30pm. With good attendance, students can graduate in approximately 26 weeks.
Graduates of the esthetics program are prepared for a variety of skincare-focused career paths, including day spas and boutique spas, medical spas and skincare clinics, salons and wellness studios, and independent esthetics or freelance skincare services. Some graduates choose to continue building their skills through advanced training or pursue CIDESCO certification for international credentials.
