Austin, TX — 10/2/2025 — Avenue Five Institute is proud to announce that it has entered into a teach-out agreement to support barber students impacted by the closure of the BeVelle Barber School campus located at 2015 E Riverside Dr, Austin TX 78741. BeVelle Barber School has been a respected institution with a long history of serving the Austin community, and we are honored to help its talented students complete their journey. With BeVelle’s recent decision to close its Austin location, Avenue Five Institute is committed to ensuring that students can continue pursuing their barber education and training without interruption.

Through this agreement, Avenue Five Institute will provide a seamless transition for BeVelle students to continue their barbering programs. Students will gain access to Avenue Five’s facilities, faculty, and the added flexibility of asynchronous distance learning for theory-based components. Looking ahead, Avenue Five Institute is also preparing to launch a Barber Crossover program. This 300-hour course is specifically designed for licensed cosmetologists who wish to pursue dual licensure and become a barber as well.
As we welcome these talented students, guests are invited to support them on their educational journey. Our student salon and barbershop will now offer a full range of barbering services to the public. Appointments can be requested online.
