Who says you can’t soar with shears? The Great Clips Scholarship Program aims to promote careers in cosmetology by providing tuition assistance or cosmetology tools to help students get started in the field. To make it easier, Great Clips provides over $100,000 in scholarships and professional tools to cosmetology students each year! The scholarship award and professional tools are valued between $250 – $1,500. This year, our very own Cosmetology student, Jose Arreola was the lucky winner of this amazing scholarship. Q: What are your professional career goals after you graduate?
A: To become a hairstylist!
Q: What excites you the most about your future career?
A: To grow and learn more
Q: What advice would you give to someone considering a career in this industry?
A: Ask questions. Don’t underestimate yourself. Don’t be afraid to fail. Don’t be afraid to try. Learn as much as you possibly can. Use your time wisely
Q: Can you share who, what, or how you stay motivated to be successful?
A: I like to read motivational quotes. Listen to motivational music with good and positive messages. Sometimes I have to remind myself constantly of where I want to be in life in order to keep moving forward, that helps a lot also
Q: If you could have dinner with one person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
A: Britney Spears. Because she’s my favorite kind of motivation
