Our Staff
Learn from people who love what they do!
The amazing team of men and women who work at Avenue Five Institute aren’t here because they have to be. They’re here because they want to be. Our instructors know what works and what doesn’t from years of professional experience in salons and spas. And they’re dedicated to giving you the skills, confidence and support you need to launch your future.
Wella Signature School
As a Wella Signature School, students of Avenue Five Institute get support and experience from a international brand dedicated to helping professionals realize their unique place in the industry. In addition to working with iconic product lines by Wella, Sebastian and Nioxin, Wella provides additional educational support via the Wella Ed App, as well as with Wella Educators who conduct on-campus trainings on the latest industry trends.
Clinical Esthetics Instruction
Although our esthetics program is designed to prepare professionals for all types of skincare environments, the majority of our esthetics educators have professional careers rooted in medical esthetics. Our staff tend to favor clinical, results-oriented procedures, over traditional “feel good” treatments. Our program is specially designed to offer extensive hands-on experience. Providing our students opportunities to work on different people and skin types, while practicing with multiple high–end product lines.
Experienced Massage Professionals
The Advanced 750-hour Massage Therapy Program requires that instructional staff be experienced in a very broad spectrum of modalities, from Contemporary Massage and Bodywork to Spa Therapies and Sports Massage. Although this program is very popular among estheticians and skincare professionals, the instructors and curriculum lean more towards wellness and health benefits of massage over spa therapies.
Master Educators
Avenue Five Institute instructors receive ongoing education from Milady’s Career Institute as they pursue their Master Educator credentials. Master Educators’ purpose is to raise the bar for cosmetology education and enhance the image of the beauty industry.
